Education Education Education It’s May 1997. Tony Blair has won the election and Katrina and the Waves have won Eurovision. Channel 5 is a month old. No one knows who Harry Potter is. Britain is the coolest place in the world.

'Education, Education, Education' is a love letter to the schools of the 1990s and asks big questions about a country in special measures, exploring what we are taught and why, and where responsibility lies.

With the Conservatives now looking well set to retain power for some years, this play looks back through the lens of a New Labour generation and the wave of optimism Britain enjoyed two decades ago. It leaves us with questions about the efficacy and legacy of Blair’s famous three pledges, bringing the familiar challenges of education sharply into focus.

Set to a soundtrack of solid gold 90s classics, this raucous comedy by The Wardrobe Ensemble brings the conflicting ideologies of archetypal teachers at Wordsworth School vibrantly to life. Alleyn’s Middle School presents a thundering tornado of ensemble theatre involving behavioural issues, playground politics, Cool Britannia and a Tamagotchi...

Things can only get better.
